Moneta Elementary School Success for All

Success for All (SFA)

Moneta Elementary School uses Success for All (SFA), a comprehensive reading and social skills program for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Success for All teaches reading skills such as phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency as well as social-emotional skills and conflict resolution, which prepare students to solve problems and work in cooperative groups.

How Does it Work?

Students in first through fifth grades are placed in flexible groupings and may go to other teachers' classrooms for reading instruction on their levels. Students participate in this 90-minute reading block from 8:10-9:40 each school day. Kindergarten students remain in their homeroom classes throughout the entire school day. Reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and social skills are interworven into the Success for All curriculum.
